CM STATEMENT ON NO COAL POWER PLANT IN SABAH

Finally all the efford on rejecting this silly idea of out state and federal government to build a coel powered plant have been fruitful!! Well I guess the government notice the General Election is coming soon, so doing something that will piss us off will not help them in it. Then again the government will say Malaysia Boleh and just build the plant up. Should we believe them? or Get c4’ed maybe? heh

“I am pleased to announce that Federal and State Governments has agreed to pursue other alternative sources of energy namely gas to meet Sabah's power supply needs.

On behalf of the State Government and the people of Sabah, I wish to accord my heartfelt thanks to YAB PM for not only being attentive to our power supply needs but also for his grave concern over our environment.

The Prime Minister understands that while we need to build up our power supply in Sabah, it can't be done at the expense of the people's welfare and the environment.

The PM understands that one of Sabah's greatest assets is its natural attractions and still somewhat pristine environment. While Sabah needs to increase power supply to meet increasing development, the state cannot afford to put its natural environment at risk.

As a responsible government, it is paramount that we put priority on protecting our environment for the wellbeing of the people. We must also protect the environment especially since its one of biggest tourism draw in the Sabah.

The growth of nature adventure ecotourism depends on how well we keep our natural environment intact and not expose it to unnecessary risks.

I know there has been certain objections to the proposed coal powered plant. Today is proof that such objections have not fallen on deaf ears.

The BN government under the able leadership of YAB PM is a government that listens to people and has the political will to take the higher road and not bring coal to Sabah. Our approach towards development will be balanced and sustainable.

The BN government is also mindful that Sabah energy needs must be met to ensure equitable development throughout the state including the east coast where there is a shortage of power.”

Malaysia is using a old & dirty technology which will allow some of their minority people have more commission among their cronies and less environment friendly. I didn't see this on the local newspaper, I guess the government is starting to control the news again? So should the independence army start acting? wait.. I think all of them are in ISA.. or died with out ever telling the public they existed.. maybe there never was such army or ever be.

Then again, will Sabah ever be free from this bunch of racist & hypocrite government. I hate it but what can we minority Sabahan do now days after our ex pm injected Sabah with a lot outsider and making their race bigger to have more voters? Nothing.

Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) Resubmit DEIA report for review and approval

I already saw this coming, but well pretty much nothing new. If the government wanted to make money they just go ahead with out considering the effect of it in the future. Do it now or the money be taken back, for most Sabahan would know that the fly over that is currently being built seems to be pointless and yes it just make a longer traffic jam. Why did they go on? or why did they built it? Here are some stuff which may be true or rumors but then again it is up for you to believe it or not.

The fly over project was already being proposed back like 10 years ago or more and yes with proper study, surveying, months of car counting and a lot of documentation to state why must it be build. The design has already being submitted which will allow the traffic flow to move smoothly then the current design. It was rejected why? State government would not earn anything out of it and only the citizenship will. There was already a budget for it, countless of planning and brain storming was done when the budget was given to fully utilize the budget. But now the current fly being build is just some cheaper version of the proposed fly over and yes as long the state government build it the federal government would not take back the allocation given for it.

So what is the does this story have anything to do with the resubmission of the DEIA report? Well someone is pressuring the TNB guys to do the coal-powered plant so one of this government cronies will make millions or billions out of the project. It will not be the opposition of cause this is for sure, just look at the Mongolian model case. What happen to it? Some guy end up being a scape goat for the real culprit. If you talk too much they just use ISA and say you are disrupting the peace.

We Sabahan have given our vote to the current ruling party (I didn't vote for any why? do you need to even ask?) and what did they us back? They fuck our state up, steal all our natural resources and maybe yes maybe once all this is finish. They might just kick Sabah out of Malaysia or leave us for the opposition party to handle when it is already being fucked up and damage. Is any of the Sabahan realizing this?

Well talk, curse, scream and so on, it be hard to fight the government once they make their mind up. Who knows maybe they already brainwashed the guys who will approve this with money. So what can we people do? voting the opposition would not be any better from what I see. I would still prefer if we claim for independence and make Sabah as our own country with proper Government strict like Singapore and yes I would not mind if it was even a communist government like China. Because the current government talk only and no action.

Who is this idiot Nagaraju Applasami??

I just saw The Star online news few minutes ago. Then saw this interesting article thinking “wa got another group want to say no to the coal power plant”. But only to find out minutes later that this is another group living in the jungle.

“The People's Assembly Action Committee chairman A. Nagaraju said the people in Lahad Datu had been waiting for the project because it could provide them with economic opportunities.

"In our country, we already have coal-fired plants, namely in Kapar, Selangor, which was built in 1988. Since then three more such plants were built in Peninsular, and two in Sarawak.” Read More…

 

This Nagaraju guy must be some good guy thinking for the villager needs. They need a 300w power plant which will be a good deal for them in well what way? None of the news seems have mention that… hm… well this is what The New Sabah Times reported:

“LAHAD DATU: About 1,500 residents from 11 villages in the Tungku State constituency yesterday gathered in a show of support for the proposed building of a coal-powered power plant here.

The villagers who are from Kampung Tambisan, Sungai Nipah, Sungai Merah, Simuning, Sinakut, Kampung Tanjung Labian, Lok Buani, Tanjung Batu, Sungai Bilis, Tanagian and Tagupi gathered at Dewan Tun Mustapha for two hours from 8am.” Read More…

 

1,500 residents.. this people all must have been promise to be given a job or something there or why would they insist on building a coal powered plant?

Do they know the side effect of building such structure or they just want to see one big generator being build and they get maybe free electric? Because I can’t seem to find the reason why else this group of 1,500 people claim to say they want a coal powered plan to be build even when the Department of Environment rejected it because of the side effect it would bring to Sabah. Does this group of idiots know what will happen in the next 10 years after this coal-fired plan is being build?

So who the fuck is this so called the People’s Assembly Action Committee (Jawatankuasa Bertindak Perhimpunan Rakyat) chairman Nagaraju Applasami?

Anyone has any idea? sure would like to see this idiot face how he looks like.

I guess most of you guys (Sabahan) would notice yesterday about the forum that is going to be held this Saturday. There is a group of Sabahan who are very finally made a move well I may be a bit slow in noticing them. As I hardly browsed around on the computer due to my job, but I will still try to contribute by letting people know about this group.

So who are this people:

“In a place close to the heart of many Sabahans, five prominent Non Governmental Organisations (NGO) have united to form a coalition named ‘Sabah Unite to Re-Power the Future’ or Green SURF, to oppose dirty energy such as coal-fired power plants.”

Pretty cool name eh, well the coalition aims to present positive solutions to the current energy situation in Sabah.

Monday Morning

It is Monday and still morning I was reading the news and what I saw on the front page?

Finally a public forum is being held regarding the power shortage on Sabah but will this do any changes or they are going to brainwash the Sabahan to go ahead with the coal power plant?

Then again it is always a start for the pubic to finally give in their own opinion and suggestion rather then the government just saying what is best for the public. I hope someone will give a good proposal and not just say " We should use the wind energy!!” without thinking the cost of building such thing. Anyway I hope you guys be there as I would go there too :)

So what about Malaysia? “Malaysia leading global race to make dirtier energy” this should be it I think. Most of you guys out there are so focus or maybe the government made you all focus towards the religious issue happening now in West Malaysia. I think most of the Malaysian some how forgotten that Sabah needs more energy and the suggestion was a new Coal Power Plant? What really is happening now regarding this issue? At the moment I am assuming they are just going to go ahead like the National Service. Most Malaysian or I can say MAJORITY Malaysian parents were against this silly summer camp thing. Which the government are so proud of to be the 1st country to do it.

They did not have the fund to do such silly thing in the first place and well they went ahead like Nike slogan “Just do it”. Why am I bringing this up? well at the moment I am thinking the same thing will happen with the coal power plant idea.

Does Sabah really need a Coal-Fired Power Plant?

This has been on the news for months now, you see the minister talking bull shit saying we need coal-fired power plant where I think because it is a big project which means more pocket money for them. There are some good side effect we finally have more power available for us Sabahan, less blackout, more job opportunity, or even as they said on Daily Express:
“There is a positive side benefit of the ashes accumulated, he said, adding about 70 per cent of the ash can be used in the cement industry. "However, this is a separate commercial agreement between LDE and any interested parties."” Read More…

So wow we can use the ash for the cement industry which mean our cement be more cheaper? Will the electricity be cheaper on the first place or will they use the excuse of the power plant building cost if expensive so we got to pay more for a stable electricity?

They even mention more job opportunity:

“More maritime based industrial sites means more jobs for Sabahans, he said, adding from being fisherman with incomes of RM500 per month, they can earn RM1,000 to RM1,500 by working in the industrial and manufacturing sectors.”

OMFG don’t the government know those fisherman can earn more then RM1,500 by bringing fishing tourist around the sea for fishing spot on a single day and not in a month in Sabah?

We have the potential being a rich green State and still generate money for the west Malaysian from our tourism attraction, raw minimal, and I bet many more. But the what did they give us Sabahan? A fucking old technology. But our Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun did mention:

So why are we just seeing news about coal-fired plant on the news? Where are the other choice? what happen to the Liwagu dam project? No more news?

Can't the government really give a better solution with green technology? Because from my opinion a coal-fired plant should have never been an option. Look at china, they have a lot of coal-fired plant build up and yes it really did improve the lifestyle for most of the rural area there. But in the long run it helped create all kind of diseases and contributed a lot too global warming. There are all kind of article regarding coal-fired plant and the Malaysia  government are not showing the side effect or giving us any other option. Just try reading 1 of the news I picked about china coal powered plant:
