Streamyx Fraud Mail

Well I receive a rather interesting mail today claiming someone have been trying to change my streamyx password. Here are the contain of it

From: help@streamyx.com
Subject: Dear streamyx.com User

Dear streamyx.com User,

We have noticed an unauthorized attempt to change your streamyx.com password from a foreign IP. This was going to result to your inability to access your account due to the password change. If you know you are the authorized owner of this account, kindly reply by providing your original username (*******) and PASSWORD (*******) so as to protect your ID and password from unauthorized access.

Failure to do this will violate the streamyx.com email terms & conditions.

I don't know what is this guy up to but then again he must be desperate to rip off peoples streamyx account detail. There are many way to get a hold people account and one of them is modem jacking. Where you access the modem and download its unencrypted config file, then opening up it with notepad to see the streamyx username and password. Well this is 1 of many other ways to do so, then again if you like to understand more on this kind of hacking I suggest you google up yourself for more information :)

So whats with this ad? well just to inform you... it has STORM WORM!!!!. What is a worm? well to cut it short... it is a virus then upload itself as long there is any hole in your computer. Not just some usb hole or what ever it is more to ur network port... er.. ok i am bad at explaining. Just google it urself.
Search for "http://nortonmail.symantec.com/ct/2633496:2664848061:m:1:291854682:0EE80975A82B719502DAA8447D6B0281" and you would get a bunch of information. I accidently clicked on the "I Wanna Join NIC!" button and luckily the site was dead.

Windows Live Writer

Well I am just testing out this addon i got from the latest version of msn messenger. It has been around for some time now.. (maybe weeks only). The interface is very simple:

As you can see from the snapshot I took of my screen. It has all the basic stuff needed to write a blog, then again would I really want to open a program just to post something in my blog? well for real.. no, I still prefer pressing the F8 button on firefox. Where my ScribeFire would just pop out on a new tap and I am ready to blog.

So what is this post really about? erm..

just to kill time & test out WSindows Live Writer.

Well I have not posted anything new here, then again not that I don't have the time... Because I have officially resign from Harmonic Security Sdn Bhd where my last day was 31 December 2008. It took me few days to settle down things as I have left a lot of pending task I should have done last year. Not to mention my Trading license has not been renewed since 2008. Luckily there is Adrian who is working in DBKK to help me out today or I end up lining up at the long line... As everyone else is renewing their trading license too.

So what will I be doing this month, I am still waiting for a reply from my last interview. Also I am going to continue on managing ADK I.T SOLUTION. I don't think I would be doing anything much this month.. so basically I be home most of the time to spend less for this year :)
