Hi Adriel,

Thank you for contacting Windows Live Messenger Abuse Support. This is Nathaniel and I will be helping you today.

I understand that you received unsolicited messages from with links to We definitely understand how important this issue to you and to have this issue resolved immediately. Let me help you out.

Adriel, if you are receiving unsolicited messages in Windows Live Messenger from people whom you know or do not know, you may be receiving SPIM. People who send SPIM frequently use automated software to collect e-mail addresses or maybe infected with viruses.

As a heads up, Instant Messaging (IM) is an instantaneous method of online communication. Some program writers are now using IM to spread malicious programs such as viruses and worms. These viruses can spread when a person opens an infected file that is sent through IM by someone who appears to be a contact. A computer infected by a virus may continue to spread the infection by sending copies of the virus to everyone on the IM contact list.

We thank you for giving us the website link. This will help us isolate your issue for we are going to submit this to our Product Specialist team to have the website blocked from our server. Furthermore, I am going to provide some tips on how to prevent receiving SPIM messages:

Protect yourself from receiving SPIM

a. Start Windows Live Messenger.

b. On the Tools menu, click Options.

c. Click the Privacy tab, and then select the Alert me when other users add me to their contact lists check box.

d. When someone requests to add you to his or her contact list, a dialog box appears that prompts you to confirm that you want to add the person to your list. If the request is from a stranger or someone you do not want to add, select the Block this person from seeing when you are online and contacting you check box.

Block all unwanted messages from unknown contacts

a. Start Windows Live Messenger.

b. On the Tools menu, click Options.

c. Click the Privacy tab, and then select the All other users check box.

d. Click Block. This prevents people who are not on your contact list from sending you messages or adding you to their contact lists.

Tips to protect yourself from receiving SPIMs

1. Never disclose your private contact or financial information in a Messenger conversation. This includes your real name, address, telephone number, social security number, or credit card number.

2. Use one of the following methods to block a contact from instant messaging you and seeing your online status:

3. When you are involved in an instant message with someone whom you want to block, click Block on the toolbar. If other people are in the conversation, click Block, and then click the name of the person whom you want to block.

4. In the Messenger main window, right-click the name of the person whom you want to block, and then click Block contact.

Note: Blocked contacts do not know that they are blocked. You just appear to be offline to them. A person whom you have blocked cannot contact you directly. However, you could find yourself in a conversation with the blocked person if someone else in the conversation has invited you both.

When you block a member's name, you move the member's name from the Allow list to the Block list. To view the Allow list and Block list, follow these steps:

1. Start Windows Live Messenger.

2. On the Tools menu, click Options.

3. In the left pane, click Privacy.

Scan your computer

Microsoft now provides a tool that can remove the most common viruses. You can access the Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool by visiting .

If you do not have antivirus software installed, you may instead use Trend Micro's free, online virus scanner to try to remove viruses. For more information, visit the following Web site:

Enable virus scanning in Windows Live Messenger.

MSN Messenger 6.2

b. On the Tools menu, click Options.

c. Click the Messages tab.

d. Under File Transfer, select the Scan files for viruses using check box.

e. Click Browse, and then select the executable file associated with your virus scanning program. If you need help in finding this file, see your antivirus vendor's Web site or manual.

MSN Messenger 7.0 and 7.5 and Windows Live Messenger

a. Start Windows Live Messenger.

b. On the Tools menu, click Options.

c. Click File Transfer, and then select the Scan files for viruses using check box.

d. Click Browse, and then select the executable file associated with your virus scanning program. If you need help in finding this file, see your antivirus vendor's Web site or manual.

Note: If you have Windows One Care, the associated virus scanner will be preselected, and this option will not be available.

I hope I was able to help you with your issue. If this information does not resolve or apply to the issue that you have submitted then please reply to this email and include any additional information that you feel may be helpful in resolving your issue.

Journey after Alban's Church Wedding ceromony

Well it was really a fun day for us all (Alban, Emily, Leigh, Lance?, Janet, Griselda & Me). After the church we all drove up to Alban's house to meet up again and started our journey towards gunung emas.

Click for bigger image

After taking our lunch, we thought of visiting Tambunan since it is not really far.. (konon lar) took a while to reach because there is a lot of corner to drive around on top of a mountain. As we were about to reach tambunan.. there was a T-Junction one going to the pekan( I think) Another one of going to the waterfall.. so since we are still young and feeling a little adventures.. we took the waterfall route.. and it claim to be only 13km... but some how we drove longer then 13km just to reach the waterfall... :\ and.. here we are...:

Did not manage to stay long at the waterfall because it was just some sudden trip there haha... Most of the pictures will be uploaded into my Friendster profile I guess. So you guys can take the pictures there if you want too.

MY side income work..

Well for most of you people who knows me. I do computer servicing as my side income while still having a primary job. I have been doing this service for some time now and about the work... apparently I notice most of my client never notice about some things when I fix their pc.

  • They ask to backup with out giving me their logon password
  • Forgotten to delete some personal pictures
  • Gave me the beg which include their personal diary or document
  • Many more other personal stuff
  • Did not remove their I.M logon password
Well even thought I notice all this, I do check it once in a while. Usually just their document or pictures.. and basically that just expose everything about them. So what do I do after finding out? Black Mailing? erm.. for real... nothing. As I don't find it fun to do so and well it just cause trouble.

Here are the things I can actually do even if you made sure I just format the pc and nothing else:

Logon pass not given?
I can use a simple brute force program and crack your xp or vista password in less then 20 minutes.

Delete all the personal files?
I can use a recovery program which can scan your hard disk for deleted files and back to the day you bought it.

So what can you do to protect yourself from someone like me?

People still send their pc to me even thought knowing I can do all this. Because so far they have not seen them self on youtube or maybe lost a project. I still charge it cheap for people I know, sometimes free for close friends.

As for the stuff I mention above? well I don't really have much time to waste as I got a busy job now days. I can recover thousand of pictures, documents & so on. Would I really have the time to view them?

Blogs recommended by Adriel

Well I wanted to blog some stuff the past few days but eventually I forgot to write about the stuff... Going to be extra busy till my Boss find some new people to work.

Back to the main topic of this post, I have added some new links on the bottom left of my blog here. If any of you regular notice it, well here are some which I would recommend to visit:
  • Belongs to Alban, a friend of mine since form 3. He has 2 kids well to be more specific he has twins!!! haha two Identitical twin girls.
  • Christy blog, a happy go lucky man... sorry I mean pretty girl... Blog.. (jaga she can pukul you like a man if she mengamuk) :P
  • Someone I chatted with in IRC #desnudo channel... never met then again I just found her blog in friendster I think.. Well her 1st blog if I am not wrong.
  • One of those random blogs I found while google'ing around... no text and only drawing of her daily activities... not really updated everyday but I find it very interesting.
  • Found her blog like few months ago from irc I think, still visiting once in a while. Hot chix but she kind of looks like one of those fake girls... well if you understand what i mean. Those who acts like pretty good girly girl... then again they are just like that. (Didn't really mean fake, but just an example. She is still pretty haha)

My 1st injury while working

I have been working here for 4 month and 5 days. Finally I had a injury while carrying few of the items for the installation in Hyatt Hotel. Not really big cut, but it was small and.. deep on my hand palm. Spend 8 bucks to buy the medicine and so on.. and this was the result:

Used my w850i so don't expect it to look like a 10mp picture quality

So what updates are there with the current company I am working for. I am still not bored, nor do I find it boring. Little tiring as I need to use my brain most of the time now days to solve the problem. As for other news? so far 4 of the staff here have resign. Why? well the only reason would be they were given a better offer by another company.

I don't really feel like jumping to another company because I am able to meet more people using this company. Not to mention most of them are VIP's xD getting more contacts then I used to work in Akira Digital Media. Even thought the pay is still less then what I used to earn. I still can afford to cover my daily usage. Another 2 years and I will have extra to spend once I am done paying the car installment.

As for Griselda? still the same...:
