Snatch Thief in Action

Well some how my friend shop got robbed or snatched, not sure which word should I use but he lost a cheap nokia phone worth RM100+. But I guess it is a big thing for the snatch thief lol.. anyway here is a recording from the cctv in my friend shop:

 

 

It happened really quick but yes it was funny as I watched the whole thing happened. The promoter left the shop, trying to catch the thief but then realize there was nobody in the shop and came back running to call up my friend and inform him right away… LOL

Well I guess most of you are wondering what do I mean with this post. Just wanted to inform that there is a new version of custom firmware supposedly by today I guess. But more or less by today or tomorrow, anyway this new version  will include:
* Compatibility with games / demos from the PSN sold until Listed
* Compatible with UMD games sold until Listed

So what is really a custom firmware? For those PSP owners out there if you own 1, it plays downloaded games or paid rm10 or so to install new games from a shop, you are using those custom firmware or hacked psp like everybody else is saying.

At the moment my psp version is still using 5.03 Gen-B (full) So I am just waiting till 12 maybe if I am still awake for the new release for me to download.. :)

Does Sabah really need a Coal-Fired Power Plant?

This has been on the news for months now, you see the minister talking bull shit saying we need coal-fired power plant where I think because it is a big project which means more pocket money for them. There are some good side effect we finally have more power available for us Sabahan, less blackout, more job opportunity, or even as they said on Daily Express:
“There is a positive side benefit of the ashes accumulated, he said, adding about 70 per cent of the ash can be used in the cement industry. "However, this is a separate commercial agreement between LDE and any interested parties."” Read More…

So wow we can use the ash for the cement industry which mean our cement be more cheaper? Will the electricity be cheaper on the first place or will they use the excuse of the power plant building cost if expensive so we got to pay more for a stable electricity?

They even mention more job opportunity:

“More maritime based industrial sites means more jobs for Sabahans, he said, adding from being fisherman with incomes of RM500 per month, they can earn RM1,000 to RM1,500 by working in the industrial and manufacturing sectors.”

OMFG don’t the government know those fisherman can earn more then RM1,500 by bringing fishing tourist around the sea for fishing spot on a single day and not in a month in Sabah?

We have the potential being a rich green State and still generate money for the west Malaysian from our tourism attraction, raw minimal, and I bet many more. But the what did they give us Sabahan? A fucking old technology. But our Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun did mention:

So why are we just seeing news about coal-fired plant on the news? Where are the other choice? what happen to the Liwagu dam project? No more news?

Can't the government really give a better solution with green technology? Because from my opinion a coal-fired plant should have never been an option. Look at china, they have a lot of coal-fired plant build up and yes it really did improve the lifestyle for most of the rural area there. But in the long run it helped create all kind of diseases and contributed a lot too global warming. There are all kind of article regarding coal-fired plant and the Malaysia  government are not showing the side effect or giving us any other option. Just try reading 1 of the news I picked about china coal powered plant:

The Asian Development Bank says it is financing pollution control programs in Shanxi because the number of people suffering from lung cancer and other respiratory diseases in the province has soared over the past 20 years. Failed suicide attempt in Api-Api centre monsoon drain

At 2/12/2009 12.00AM happened just about 10 minutes ago a young man tried to kill himself by jumping into the dirty monsoon drain between Api-Api Centre and Centerpoint.

The police arrive like with in 15-16 minutes, the crowd was shouting “Bodoh” towards this young man and the young man did not seem to be acting normal. Could be due to the head injuries or high on something.

More or less it should be on the papers in the morning or next day.

Video call available on Digi now?

I am not sure how many of you guys out there using Digi notice this but just today I manage to make a video call with Griselda after noticing the 3g logo on my phone. Here are my phone screen shot:

Notice the highlighted box near the signal bar on the above picture? yes that icon means I have a 3g connection.

Well I can’t seem to take a screenshot with the picture or video but there are actually 2 missing box at the picture above 1 is my face and another is Griselda.

 

I am using my Sony Ericsson W850i still and yes there was no problem, lag, or what ever problem during the call. So far there have been no announcement on Digi website, but I am not the other person who notice this. Griselda friend tested this few weeks ago too when she suddenly notice the 3g icon on her phone and then tried video calling Griselda. Where I would say they are testing it on random Digi users.

Digi users now might just be able to do Video Call too in the near future :D

 

Time to buy a new camera?

I have not been updating much on this blog, well most of the time it was like about Gutteruncensored. Yes I know it is a porn site but that is just for the hit. Anyway I have been browsing around all kind of digital single-lens reflex camera also known as DSLR. I was looking at D40 & D80 at first and yes it is a starter for newbie such as myself on DSLR camera. Then again as the usual someone will advise me to get another better model (also means higher price) which was the D90.

Previously when I wanted to get myself a digital camera, one of my choice was the cyber-shot. But my friend Ben told me that I should not get those china made product. Well the cyber-shot camera was made in china and I can’t argue about that. Where he advise me to get the Japan made camera which was Panasonic Lumix series. I tried searching for the FX08 modem but well can’t seem to find it where I ended up getting myself a DMC-FX30. 

It took me some time before I finally get to fully utilize the features of the camera and yes I am finally knowing what is the limit for my camera. Which is why I started looking around for a DSLR camera that might just fit my needs. I tried a few and finally I think Nikon would be my choice of brand this time.

D90 seems to be the right choice after checking the review of it and comparing with the review for D40 & D80. Where Des & Carlo said the same thing, where in my mind now is just aiming to get the D90. As for the accessories, lenses maybe 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR, also got to try getting a 8gb (SDHC compliant) memory card but most of this item are included. Then again the Remote Control ML-L3 would be a good add-on too.

Anyway this is just my plan to get one and not going to buy it yet.  I thought of going K.L at the end of this year and check out the price there first. As it would cost around RM4.5k or more here.

Man delivers baby, thanks to YouTube

KUALA TERENGGANU: A man, forced to be midwife for his wife in the car, safely delivered their baby – thanks to tips from Youtube. The relieved wife, Siti Norhayati Hambadely, 29, said she was thankful her 50-year-old husband cared enough to scroll through the Net for information and visual tips on child delivery several months prior to the delivery.

All this happened because there was no doctor at the clinic they went. Also the couple claimed a nurse had refused to attend to Siti Norhayati and had turned them away.

 

I feel that nurse should be sacked or hope she get knocked down by a car and nobody help her out.

GutterUncensored – No news

Seems like there have been no news over the past 24 hours it is like Mr. Gutter is being arrested by FBI or something like ISA (Malaysia). For some odd reason the URL for http://gutteruncensoredonline.blogspot.com and http://www.gutteruncensored.com is also linked to his facebook account.

Where ever body who went to his facebook page spam it with their email address saying “add me”. But I am finding it strange what do they mean by that? Mr. Gutter has a hidden blog? I remember there was a blog that he used for testing his template but I kind of forgot the url for it.

 

So for those who has info or updates, please tell everybody about it.

Well for some weird reason both of his blog for Malaysian and non Malaysian are down. When I try accessing www.gutteruncensored.com using bypassanything.com proxy service. I am being transferred directly to his facebook account.

 

I guess it be some time before he finally can settle down with out worrying his blog being taken down by google or some malaysian people. :(

Padas Water Rafting Trip

Crocker Range Gravity-defying road near the top of the hill

There have been news about where a taxi driver who went to pee on the crocker range road. He parked the car just on the road and some how he did not pull his emergency brake. Where all a sudden the car started moving not downhill but uphill back. I tried finding the location on google earth but I can’t really pinpoint the location. So just refer to the map below and the pictures take near the road :D

KUANTAN: State Commercial Crime chief Supt Zaini Jass said the police had received two reports on the scam last Saturday and Sunday after the victims were approached by a 31-year-old man who offered to sell a laptop, supposedly goods seized in a customs raid.
"Both victims fell for the scam and made payment, but realised they were cheated after they waited a long time for the suspect to return bearing the laptop," he said when met by reporters here today.
Zaini said the suspect, who introduced himself as "Man" or "Mi Bangla", used the same modus operandi which was to approach the victim and offer laptops at an irresistable price.

I would not buying even if it was goods from some dead guy or something if you understand what I mean. But I would like to have a look of it before even considering buying such item. Not giving the person a single cent till I am seen the product, tested it, and well playing around for at lease 10-15 minutes.

 

But still, to be able to sell something out of words… I bet this guy must be a good salesman.

Pc with this kind of hard drive you should not repair

I guess most of you guys would be wondering what is this large hard drive looking this. Well yes it is a hard drive and not a very new one just for you information. This is a Quantum Hard Driver, Bigfoot series where Bigfoot hard drive was a brand of hard disk marketed by Quantum Corporation in the mid-1990s which featured a larger physical size than hard disks typical at the time.

Bigfoot drives were produced in capacities of 1.28GB, 1.6GB, 2.1GB, 2.5GB, (single platter) 3.2GB, 4.3GB, 6.4GB, 8.0GB, 10.0GB, 12.0GB, 13.0GB, 19.2GB (double platter) and were produced by a variety of different plants in Malaysia, Singapore, Japan and other locations. The interface with the computer was an ATA-3 interface. Bigfoot drives were amongst the first to support Logical Block Addressing (LBA) and Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology (S.M.A.R.T.) monitoring.

 

So anyway why did I connect it with my external hard drive? erm.. well my regular hard disk reader which is just cable is lost. But the main reason for me to connect is just to check the windows version and before doing that a virus scan is a must. I am using AVG 8.5 and well the free version, but it still does the job. Most of you guys should do this before actually accessing the old hard drive to do backup and so on. As you might find stuff like this:

It is full of old virus too, not only the hard drive is old the virus too is old lol. 

This pc uses Windows 98 and well I don’t have windows 98 anymore. Also the hardware would not support the windows xp even if it does.. the pc would hang due to the old hardware it has.

So if you want to fix your PC and would like me to do it. Please at lease check if it is newer then Pentium 3 Processor or I cannot do anything with it.

Orang minyak in Sungai Petani

The orang minyak is on the prowl in Sungai Petani, terrorising about 300 families as the apparition seemed to pick on homes where young women are staying in. Where A teenager known just as Nurshahirah, 17, told Kosmo! that she was awakened at about 5.40am on Monday as she felt a warm sensation on her left ear.

She opened her eyes only to discover an apparition with curly hair and thick moustache standing by her bed.

The Orang Minyak is one of a number of supposed ghosts in Malay culture. Orang Minyak means 'oily man' in Malay.

There exist several different versions of the legend and the creature. According to one legend, popularised in the 1956 film Sumpah Orang Minyak (The Curse of the Oily Man) directed by and starring P. Ramlee, the orang minyak was a man who in an attempt to win back his love with magic was cursed. In this version, the devil offered to help the creature and give him powers of the black arts, but only if the orang minyak worshipped the devil and raped 21 virgins within a week. In another version it is under control of an evil bomoh or witch doctor. Another movie based on Orang Minyak was produced in 2007 ^[1], showing this theme remain popular until now. As at 24 November 2006, a burglar was arrested, stark naked and covered with oil, reminiscient of orang minyak in Malaysia.

In the 1960s, the orang minyak supposedly lived around several Malaysian towns raping young women. The orang minyak of the 1960s was described as human, having a naked body covered with oil to make it difficult to catch. However, there were also stories of the orang minyak where it was supposedly supernatural in origin, or invisible to non-virgins (possibly from the oil) or both. The mass panic has also led to unmarried women, typically in student dormitories, borrowing sweaty clothes to give the impression to the orang minyak that they are with a man. Other defences supposedly include biting its left thumb and covering it in batik.

In short, the orang minyak is a supernatural serial rapist that is hard to see and hard to catch. Some have speculated that the orang minyak is a regular criminal who uses black grease as a night-time camouflage. Due to the use of black grease, it makes the orang minyak hard to catch, as pursuers would not be able to hold on to him. However, in some encounters with the orang minyak, the situation is not explainable from a non-supernatural angle.

It is possible that different versions of the legend were used as a cover for things other than actual rapes. Reputed sightings of the orang minyak, or events later ascribed to it, have continued with reduced frequency into the 2000s.

In 2005, there have been cases of rapists covered in oil roaming around, armed with knives. ^[2]

I some how was just browsing around Patrick Teoh Blog and saw this video about “How to do business in Bolehland in 5 easy lessons...” It is a funny video but at the end of the video I saw a website. the address is:

So what is this 15 Malaysia thing?

15Malaysia is a short films project. It consists of 15 short films about Malaysia directed by some of the best young filmmakers in our country. Each film lasts between 3 to 7 minutes. All our films have socio-political subject matters. These vary from corruption, race relations, inflation, Islamic banking, social apathy, ethical commerce, pedophilia, government health warnings and so on. Some are funny, other serious – all try to deal with aspects of Malaysian life. Each filmmaker was responsible for choosing his or her own subject matter.

Well for most of you guys I am sure you know WordPress. For me I been trying to register an account there and adkz.wordpress.com has been taken. But few days ago I found out the URL was available, so I directly tried to register :D Here is a screenshot:

At the bottom of the page you can see adkz.wordpress.com is available so yes I continue on with the registration and what do I get?

It is reserved  for who? I know it is not for me so why the fuck said it was available. Never mind that so I tried finding out who the fuck made me waste time registering and so on. I went on the support page and wee 24/7 support:

So I went and clicked the page hoping to find a online chat or maybe a quick email reply. But what did I get…:

So fuck wordpress and continue on with blogspot.

MV Doulos to revisit KK from Aug 29

Well should have posted this few weeks ago but I have been kind of busy. Anyway the MV Doulos, the world's oldest ocean-going passenger ship, is planning a revisit to Kota Kinabalu from Aug. 29 to Sept. 20 this year. Which is.. er.. today.. So anyway the book fair would be opened from 10am to 10pm (Tuesday-Saturday) and 2pm to 10pm (every Sunday and Monday). This except on Aug 29 (Sat) where it will open from 6pm to 10pm and Aug 31 (Mon) that is from 10am to 10pm.

The ship plans to have a painting competition sponsored by Murobond Paints on Aug 31 (Mon) at 10am.

It is open to all Malaysians 13 years and above.

Well I just could not help it in case they deleted the thread. But I took a screenshot of how my question some how became a solution for the problem facing by million of Firefox 3.5.2 user.

Firefox 3.5.2 slow in all query and often fails. Slower than IE by far.

So you for those of you don’t get it click on the picture and read what I posted. Where indirectly Firefox seem to tell everyone to use XP if they want the problem to be solve? hahahaha

So Firefox finally has a new update and yes I have been using it for a few days. But to my horror I am like cursing it now. The respond time after clicking a link take 1-2 minutes more ever if on facebook. If it is just a site with text and picture, it would take few second. But if you are considering using firefox latest update on a Vista Operating System. I suggest you use Internet Explorer as it seems to work much better now then  firefox at the moment.

I google up a bit and tried all kind of method and finally gave up and checked Firefox support forum. Then I saw all the post regarding version 3.5.2. Where here is the thread of the problem I am facing:
