Midnight Snank.. snake… snack… sorry typo

What I really wanted to say is my midnight supper, anyway on my previous post about Saint Patrick's Day. I was at the Loft and not The Loaf!!!! THE LOFT AND NOT THE LOAF!!!!

THE LOFT!!!!!!

Anyway back to my midnight supper, most of you would usually go to a fast food place after going for a drink with your friends. But did you know like for Mc Donald, for RM10++ what kind of value meal can you get? well 4 choice of cause. Will it be enough is what I am saying, in my case.. no it is not enough. Some times I would order 1 value meal and with a extra mc chicken, but that too might not be enough… but once in a while only (this is based on true facts.. facks? er how to spell ah?). But anyway most of the time it be enough, then again it would cost about RM16++ and which is not cheap!!!!

So what can I get if I went to a kedai kaling? Kaling means a muslim indian and kedai means shop. Anyway I usually would order

  • Nasi Goreng Kampung (fry rice with fried ikan bilis)
  • Mata Lembu (Half cook fried egg)
  • Ayam goreng (Usually you see the one they goreng and place it on the… er.. the second where u choose the lauk?)

With the result of this:

DSC_0078 DSC_0079

How much does it cost? well the nasi goreng kampung is about rm5, then egg is rm1.50 then the fried chicken is rm3. All those would add up to RM9.50 ONLY!!!! FOR RM9.50 YOU GET THIS STUFF.

See how much I get compare to mc donald or any other fast food outlet? Well just wanted to say this as I want to eat the food now.

Saint Patrick's Day in Waterfront Kota Kinabalu

For most of you stout lover, this is a day or wait.. maybe yesterday.. er… the day before yesterday.. after 12am already now.. ok nvm here is wikipedia:

Saint Patrick's Day (Irish: Lá Fhéile Pádraig) is a religious holiday celebrated internationally on 17 March. It is commemorates Saint Patrick (c. AD 387–461), the most commonly recognised of the patron saints of Ireland, and the arrival of Christianity in Ireland.[2] It is observed by the Catholic Church, the Anglican Communion (especially the Church of Ireland),[3] the Eastern Orthodox Church and Lutheran Church. Saint Patrick's Day was made an official feast day in the early 17th century, and has gradually become a celebration of Irish culture in general.[4]Read more…

Got that? Anyway I had my guinness in The Loaf with Fabian (one of the owner) with the manager from next door V8:

DSC_0067

Well from the picture above that was us, Me, Lily( not sure the spelling) & Fabian having our picture taken. I didn’t have a copy which is why I took a picture of it lol as Lily wanted the picture.

We were just infront of The Loaf, pretty much where I go sometime with Des and Carlo.

I was just sitting outside with them and took this picture when both Fabian and Lily went out to do something. Anyway the hitz.fm crew was there, some other local D.J’s and.. er.. The Guinness guys too

Girls, Models, Pretty Girls…. and so on was there. The Media Registration girls were smiling and I happily took their pictures lol.

There were some performance by Body Care dancers too here is a short clip of them performing, I did not record the whole dance because… it was hot.

Sarah was there!!!! hahaha

Sorry for the low quality but no I don’t want to edit the video or resized it. Which is why I took it with a low quality setting on my d90.

Well I didn’t waste my time taking photo most of the time and continue on having another pint of Guinness Stout in The Loaf. It was pretty much a nice day to drink with all the crowd as everyone seems to had a great time.. or Maybe it was the beer. But I did had a fun time there with my Guinness of cause.

I did get some stuff from Fabian and the Hitz.fm cruiser team and yes wanted to say thanks a lot for it too. I make sure to put into good use for the glass I receive and the complimentary pass too lol

Fish spa at Kg. Luanti Baru– off Ranau

Went to Ranau yesterday (Saturday) to go the fish spa near Sabah Tea. It was located just 10 or 20 meter after Sabah Tea Entrance.. wait.. maybe more.. I am not sure but yes it was just after Sabah Tea Entrance:

map

Google Earth Coordination:
5°56'45.71"N
116°46'9.66"E

Garmin:
N5 56.808 E116 46.187

See it is just after Sabah tea entrance but not sure how many meter… ok nvm. I heard of this place like since last year and never did try out fish spa as in my mind.. is it really clean? or Safe? After google’ing up a few sites and yes seems to be safe but not for the fish. You need to throw the fish away (or kill it and not eat it), as it cannot be eaten anymore.

Click here for google result on “Is fish spa safe?”

It is like using the same needle on another person after the doctor use it on you. Would you want to continue on using the needle? But as for the fish, yes it is safe to go try it out just for fun. Where I did that and yes it was fun haha plus I could not stop laughing because it was like someone tickling my feet.. Anyway check out the pictures of the area I took

DSC_0010

After parking your car, you will see the entrance to the fish spa area and few small stalls selling some local hand made stuff.

DSC_0007

Some of the rules you need to know, and yes only 15 minutes spa..

DSC_0012

Just after you bought the ticket from the main entrance into Kg. Luanti there (Forgot to mention that) you need to register yourself in this boot. They will announce your ticket number then it is your turn to go down too into the river.

DSC_0029

No faces.. just to be fair with everyone else. Sorry I forgot to take picture of Griselda, Ben & Irene.. Because I just took picture of the fish lol But we had fun getting sucked by the fish, they have no teeth but it might still hurt a lot after a while haha If you have a small stool and plan to go there.. Bring it because it might hurt after a while standing there.

Here is a video of how it looks like:

None of us was in the video because I only thought of recording after we finish..

DSC_0037I took a picture of Griselda hehe

We did do Sabah tea after that but just to check out the place, I didn’t really feel like taking any pictures there. But on the way home, we did take some pictures together.. only wish I brought my tripod.

Thanks ben hehe..

I have no idea.. sound like some old Japanese name. Anyway I went to see a beach land located there and well it is about 3 acres and facing Pulau Pandan. With white clean sand, lots of sea shell washed to the beach and not only that it is a private beach!!!!! Wish I could afford this then again I am just helping the owner to sell it.

China Leading Global Race to Make Clean Energy

"The NY Times reports that China vaulted past competitors in Denmark, Germany, Spain and the United States last year to become the world's largest maker of wind turbines, has leapfrogged the West in the last two years to emerge as the world's largest manufacturer of solar panels, and is pushing equally hard to build nuclear reactors and the most efficient types of coal power plants. These efforts to dominate renewable energy technologies raise the prospect that the West may someday trade its dependence on oil from the Mideast for a reliance on solar panels, wind turbines and other gear manufactured in China.

So what about Malaysia? “Malaysia leading global race to make dirtier energy” this should be it I think. Most of you guys out there are so focus or maybe the government made you all focus towards the religious issue happening now in West Malaysia. I think most of the Malaysian some how forgotten that Sabah needs more energy and the suggestion was a new Coal Power Plant? What really is happening now regarding this issue? At the moment I am assuming they are just going to go ahead like the National Service. Most Malaysian or I can say MAJORITY Malaysian parents were against this silly summer camp thing. Which the government are so proud of to be the 1st country to do it.

They did not have the fund to do such silly thing in the first place and well they went ahead like Nike slogan “Just do it”. Why am I bringing this up? well at the moment I am thinking the same thing will happen with the coal power plant idea.

BorneoColours.Com on Daily Express

masidi

“Borneocolours.com is a web portal aspiring to be Borneo's only trusted one-stop information portal and it is designed with integrated structure defined as "intelligent new media".

It is also an avenue to trade search, share, store and communicate with people and provide data about Borneo.

"Brunei Darussalam is a well-known country as it is a rich state and the Sultan was one of the richest men in the world. As for Kalimantan, it was well-known for its forest exploitation and, thus, we would like to change this perspective.

"Despite the controversies surrounding Kalimantan, we want to change this negative perspective and show to the world that there are still interesting places to visit in Borneo.

"But we need to sell them as a package. We can do the tourism promotion individually but I do not think it will be effective," said Masidi.

In terms of star rating in the international media, Masidi said the three countries would have better ratings if the whole of Borneo is to be promoted together.Read more..

Also just for you information Borneo Colours Sdn Bhd Chief Executive Officer, Daniel Doughty, said the project is looking for one person who will go around Borneo for free in 40 days.

"We are calling anyone to apply for the host job and the application will start on Dec 25. All information can be procured from the portal.

Applicants are only required to send a one-minute video presentation to explain their self-worthiness as the selected candidate to travel around Borneo in 40 days for free.

"The closing date will be on April 2, 2010 and the execution of the project would be done in September next year."

So hope you guys would make a video of yourself, upload into youtube, share it in facebook, and link it with your resume…

Just joking about linking facebook and youtube into your resume. Anyway I post about it as soon I get some detail on it :)
