How to make TM Operator feel dumb

Most Streamyx user by now should know the procedure to file a report if your internet line goes down. My one went down last night around 11pm and was inform that my account is being suspended for not paid. Only problem was, the last month bill was paid already and they have not even issue this month bill. So what is this TM operator talking about?

She could not answer me then advise me to ask the billing department tomorrow morning. So I said good night and yes a bit annoyed but we can’t really do anything about it and went go bed thinking how to start cursing at them tomorrow morning.

As morning arrive, I went to the office and started calling the billing department at 100. Spoke with the operator and she then inform me there is nothing wrong with my account…. (SO WHAT THE FUCK WAS GOING ON?????) I told her off asking why did the tm operator last night told me to call up the billing department. She could not answer and told me she will transfer me to the technical department (They start passing to the right people once you rise up your voice, so do it often!!).

Again it was another lady operator on the phone, I told her the grandmother story from 11pm till the billing operator story and she just kept quiet (seems like she is used of listening to crap). Anyway I gave my username and phone number then she asked back the regular question.

Operator: is your computer connected to a wireless connection or cable?
Me: It is on cable, I tried another new and there is still no connection. The DSL light is stable for both ADSL ROUTER but could not get connected. I checked the log in the router and it said username/password authentication failed says the log.
Operator: ok sir, what windows are you using sir?
Me: (With out hesitation I try saying a non common operating system) I am using Ubuntu a linux operating system.
Operator: Windows Ubuntu sir?
Me: (TRYING HARD NOT TO LAUGH) No, it is a Linux distro called Ubuntu which is a operating system too.
Operator: Ok sir, so you are using Windows Linux Ubuntu?
Me: YES! (Just to make her feel happy so I said yes HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA)
Operator: Sir this is your report number “xxxxxxxx” do you need any other assistant sir?
Me: no, thank you.
Hang up.

So moral of the story, try not to ask so much question and just put internet down if someone already did everything including changing modem and still can’t get connected. Just noted down “user streamyx account has a problem” or any other much more easy sentence to understand.

Friendster fucked up

Friendster has once again done it, they changed everything.. layout, framework, and the whole idea of how the Social network Boom. It may have been dead well for some part of the world, but majority of us started from there. But no.. friendster just did it again, they pissed off million of users and turned friendster into this:

All the photos are gone, message as well, and they have claim to send notification and so on. I check my friendster mail every once a week, I check my friendster profile every week, and no I did not notice any news about saying everything be gone.

They claim to have said:

Friendster Team (Employee) No. We gave users months to save their profile and photos. Unfortunately, the deadline for that was last June 27.

 

Like this is so true? I never even notice that news of them saying everything be gone. I remember msn space gave me email, notification as I login into my old blog and even requested me to download all my old pictures. What did Friendster do? Nothing.

I know most people would be aware of such scam, where this girl or guy say she/he is coming down to your country. Randomly sending message to everyone they see from your country. But I can say 3 out of 10 people they message would not think this as a scam. Sadly but this is the truth, there are a lot of naïve people out there who think they got their first love or maybe some love on first sight thing. No this is not a fairy tale world guy, wake up and this is how reality is.

We don’t live in a world where the first person you meet might be a good person. He/she may want something out of you, it could be your connection, work, or the most common one is Money. Like many other victim some may even loose their life saving to this kind of people. I have seen all kind of news about it and it makes me wonder.. are this people really stupid and naïve? Who the fuck send over money to someone they never met just to help out their financial problem? lol

So guys if you receive any kind of request for help, I do hope you think twice first on that person. If it is your family member or close friends then well if you got the budget to help.. don’t be shy. But to strangers? no.

I guess it is a common thing now days to see some prostitute coming in the irc channel and promoting their services. Most guys would ask for pictures and so on the smart one just give out their number and the dumb one would give their picture only to be kicked out of the channel or made fun (Sorry but yes I do make fun of them and make sure to tell the rest about it).
